John Wick as a mother: Jennifer Lopez goes to the killer war on Netflix
In The Mother, Lopez’s character decides to give up her unborn daughter’s career in crime and turn her employers on the knife in return. To avoid their revenge, she goes into hiding for years away from her child. But her past eventually catches up with her she has to take up arms again.
Judging by the trailer, The Mother is a straight forward action cracker that the genre community and Lopez fans might enjoy. Directed by Niki Caro (Mulan).

The Mother will be released on May 12, 2023 on Netflix. In addition to Lopez, Joseph Fiennes (Duel – Enemy at the Gates) and Gael García Bernal (Old) can be seen in front of the camera.
