New Netflix series of the Bridgerton maker is a Murder Mystery in the White House
In The Residence, during a state banket in the White House of Chief Usher, from Wynter (Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito) is found dead. Although the state building is usually subject to the highest security level, there were whopping and writing at the time of the murder 157 people present – which will now all suspect. The ingenious investigator Cordelia Cupp (Orange is the New Black Star Uzo Aduba) is commissioned to the case and the investigation begins.
In addition to the stars from Breaking Bad and Orange Is The New Black, the residence were among others Mary Wiseman (Star Trek: Discovery), Randall Park (Wandavision), Julian McMahon (NIP/Tuck) and singer Kylie Minogue.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine-Star Andre Braugher was originally intended for the role of the murder victim from Wynter. Giancarlo Esposito took over the role after Brauhher’s death in December 2023.

Shonda Rhimes again acted as a producer at The Residence with her production company Shondaland. Paul William Davies (for the people) is responsible for both the concept and the screenplays for the new Netflix series. The direction took over Liza Johnson (The Last of Us).
