Traffic stop results in drug trafficking charges

Three people have been charged after Six Nations police say they found $7,000 worth of drugs during a search of a taxi on May 5.

Police stopped the taxi and arrested all the occupants after they say they seized a quantity of fentanyl and cocaine, along with currency, drug packaging and cell phones.

A 43-year-old Delhi man is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking; drug possession; proceeds of crime under $5,000; and breach of probation.

A 27-year-old Simcoe woman is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking; drug possession; and proceeds of crime under $5,000.

A 26-year-old Ohsweken man is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking; drug possession; and proceeds of crime under $5,000.

All of the accused were held for bail hearings and demanded into custody.
