In connection with the wind and rain over Western Sweden, several trains have been forced to cancel. Since Monday, the trains on the Kinnekullebanan, on the stretch between Håkanstorp and Gårdsjö, have been cancelled. And now there are also trains between Gothenburg and Ytterby. That the trains do not run between Ytterby and Gothenburg and is due to flooding in Säveån.
– We have to work on the tracks between Gothenburg and Ytterby, and we can’t do that until it stops raining. So, it is unclear when the trains can start rolling, says a disruption coordinator from Västtrafik.
The trains between Varberg and Borås are also affected by the weather and are also expected to be canceled until midnight on Wednesday.
