US President Donald Trump has sent a letter to Iran’s regime in an attempt to resume conversations about Iran’s nuclear program.

Tehran confirms that the letter has been received, but responds critically to Trump’s tires about new conversations.

Iran’s highest leader Ayatolla Ali Khamenei announced that talks with the United States “did not raise the sanctions” aimed at Iran.

“If the goal is to cancel the sanctions, then the negotiations with this US government will not mean that the sanctions are lifted,” Khamenei said at a meeting with students in Tehran.

He also took the opportunity to warn the United States.

– America threatens with military efforts, but in my opinion the threat is irrational. Iran is capable of responding with a revenge team – and so we will do, Khamenei said earlier on Wednesday.

Trump: Departants are on their way to Russia

According to the US president, a US delegation is on its way to Russia right now.

“Hopefully we can get a ceasefire,” Trump told Reuters.

He says he received positive signals from Russia.

“It’s up to Russia now,” he says.

According to the news agency, Russia does not exclude a phone call between Trump and Putin.

The mother is released after trial on honor killings

A passenger car has been hit by a passenger train in Härryda municipality. Rescue services, police and ambulance are in place with several units.

“It is an extensive resource package that is in place,” says the rescue service’s alarm and management commander Mats Gränsmark.

The police state that a person has been injured, but the injury situation is unclear.

– It has been a powerful collision, says Gränsmark.

The train passenger is evacuated and there is a total stop on the route between Mölnlycke and Hindås.

Pilot shuts down – flown nearly into mountains

A pilot on the Easyjet has been suspended after he flew too close to a mountain, reports Manchester Evening News.

It was during a flight between Manchester and Egypt, with 190 people on board, that the pilot ruled the plane just too close to the mountain. The incident happened when the plane flew over land.

Easyjet states that they are investigating the accident and that the pilot was suspended in the meantime.

“Safety is the highest priority for all our pilots, they are trained according to the highest industry standard, undergo rigorous tests and are carefully monitored,” the airline tells the newspaper.

Russia does not exclude a phone call between Putin and Trump. This is stated in a new statement from the Kremlin, according to Reuters.

“The United States must inform us about the results of the conversations between them and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia, before we can comment on whether the proposed ceasefire is acceptable for Russia,” said Russian spokesperson Dmitry Peskov in a statement.

Russian captain involved in the ship’s collision

The captain of the vessel collided with the partly Swedish -owned oil tanker Stena Immaculate outside the UK is a Russian citizen, Sky News writes.

The captain has been arrested and is suspected of crime.

The crew came from Russia and the Philippines, according to the company that owns the ship.

A person is feared to be dead after the collision.
