Tractors, not just Rome: from Rimini to Cagliari, the mobilization expands

Tractors not just Rome from Rimini to Cagliari the mobilization

(Finance) – The farmers’ protest does not stop and is actually spreading. “We were summoned a short while ago by the Ministry of Agriculture”, he says Andrea Popeone of the spokespersons of the agricultural redemption movement, explaining that one of their delegations is going to the ministry for a new meeting.

Meanwhile, the presence of Riscatto agricultural tractors continues on via Nomentana a Rome. “We remain here waiting for the minister to formalize the commitments made during the meeting in recent days with our delegation. In particular, regarding the opening of a technical table” explains Elia Fornai, one of the coordinators of Agricultural Redemption. At the moment, according to the farmers’ movement, there are around three hundred vehicles present at the collection point near thel Large ring road.

Protest spreading like wildfire. The garrison of Sardinian farmers and shepherds in front of the port of Cagliari will remain standing until at least February 26th. Not just Rome: after the parade in front of the Colosseum, also ready to march from Sardinia towards another destination: Brussels. For now, however, we continue to the bitter end.

“It is enough to impose constraints to encourage imports”, but also “Enough begging, more value to agriculture”: with signs like these hoisted on tractors, the mobilization has also reached Rimini, this morning. Tricolor flying in the wind and protest placards were displayed on around sixty tractors that gathered from via Coriano, via Marecchiese, Statale Adriatica and the A14 exit and then stopped in a field on the sea side along the Ausa stream at via Grassi . Traffic was not blocked, only slowed down during the gathering of agricultural vehicles.

In parallel with the protest, the political debate also continues. “LThe League will never stand with those who want to destroy the agricultural world. While in fact there were those in Europe who chose to support a disastrous EU Commission, responsible for the crazy fake-green policies that bring fundamental sectors, businesses, workers and families to their knees, the League has never had doubts and from the beginning has defended the interests of Italian farmers, fishermen and producers “. So a note from Lega, which asks to raise the Irpef exemption threshold to 30 thousand euros and announces which in the coming weeks will reject “directives and regulations on industry and packaging that would create further damage and asking for an early review of a CAP that doesn’t work like this.”
