Russia has been suspected of causing the explosions
Explosions were detected in the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines on September 26.
The pipelines were built to take gas from Russia through Germany to Europe. However, the export of gas in pipeline one was gradually interrupted after Russia started the war of aggression against Ukraine. There was no time to put the second pipe into operation.
In Western countries, including Finland, it is widely suspected that Russia was behind the explosions. Russia denies this and has blamed Britain, among others, for the explosions.
