In the meeting between the reigning Finnish champion and last season’s Finnish Cup winners, Turku Palloseura defeated Tampere Classic.
Floorball women’s F-League season started with a victory over reigning Finnish champion Turku Palloseura. TPS defeated last season’s final opponent and winner of the Finnish Cup, Tampere Classic, 2–1 in overtime.
TPS decided the match between the SC winner, dubbed the Super Cup, and the Finnish Cup champion with a goal Meri-Helmi Höynälä. He was responsible for Turku’s opening goal Erika Koskifrom the leveling of the people of Tampere Juulianna Sotala.
The Women’s F-League continues on Saturday with five matches: ÅIF–Welhot, EräViikingit–O2-Jyväskylä, SaiPa–SSRA, PSS–FBC Loisto and SB-Pro–Koovee.
On the men’s side, Jyväskylä’s Happee was a particularly rude visitor in the capital. Happee defeated EräViikingit in Helsinki 11–0.
Those who hit four power points in the match became the hardest hitters Kim Hyrkkonen (3+1), Niko Laiti (3+1) and Ville Heiska (1+3). To oxygen Pietari Jääskeläinen enjoyed a clean sheet with 12 saves, also catching EräViikinkien Tuomas Ahon penalty kick.
