Thomas Zambra, one of Tove Jansson’s descendants who manages the management of her legacy, says at the same time that the exhibition gives a unique overall picture of Jansson, beyond the popular fairytale roles.
— She felt that some of her work was overshadowed by the Moomin role, but in recent years there has been renewed interest in her work as an artist, especially in the Nordic countries, Zambra tells The Guardian.
Finnish-Swedish Tove Jansson passed away in 2001 at the age of 86.
