The search for missing Tove went on for over two weeks. Throughout the period, volunteers from the Vetlanda area have supported the police and military in efforts to get closer to the answer to what happened to the 21-year-old.
On Wednesday came the news that many feared. Tove’s body was found in a wooded area east of the city centre.
Although the death sentence was expected, it sent waves of foreboding throughout the small town.
– My children have played with her. It is so terrible that you have no words. She was the coolest kid in the world, says Mikael Reinikainen, who was Tove’s soccer coach when she was younger.
