TousAntiCovid was the application that allowed you to store your test results and vaccination certificate to have your health pass. What was TousAntiCovid?
Launched in October 2020 under the name StopCovid, the application renamed TousAntiCovid was downloaded by more than 62 million French people. Due to the improvement of the epidemiological situation, the functionality of TousAntiCovid has been deactivated on January 25, 2023. How to see contact cases with TousAntiCovid?
TousAntiCovid was an enriched and interactive application of the first application StopCovid release in 2020 for the “contact tracing” potential cases infected with Covid. TousAntiCovid allowed the user tested positive COVID-19 to immediately warn the people he could have contaminated during his period of contagiousness by activating the Bluetooth on his smartphone. Only contacts who have previously downloaded the app were informed. The “contacts” are the people encountered during the previous days, less than one meter, for at least fifteen minutes. The objective was to allow contact cases to monitor themselves, to consult a doctor, to be tested, where to isolate themselves if necessary and thus break the chain of transmission of the virus. TousAntiCovid also offered several practical features:
► key figures on the evolution of the Covid epidemic in France and vaccination.
► access and download of 3 types of certificates that serve as a health pass : the negative test certificate, the Covid-19 recovery certificate and thevaccination certificate.
► The application is available in the stores of all countries and translated into 6 languages.
All RT-PCR and antigen tests generate evidence as soon as the result is entered by healthcare personnel in SI-DEP. An email and an SMS are sent to the patient who can then download their Covid test result in the TousAntiCovid application via the QR Code available on the test. It is also possible to open the application and click on “Scan a QR Code” or “Declare yourself positive” to add your positive result.
The vaccination certificate is a official certification from the French administration of vaccination against Covid-19 disease. It can be stored in the TousAntiCovid application in digital format via a QR code, use in case of travel or to access certain public places in France (swimming pool, cinema, theatre, restaurant, etc.). Who created TousAntiCovid?
The application was initially a research project initiated at European level and in which Inria (National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology) for France. In April 2020, Inria teams published, with teams from the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institut (Germany), the ROBERT protocol – for ROBust and privacy-presERving proximity Tracing – which presents a technical architecture for a “contact tracing” application in agreement with European values and on which TousAntiCovid was built. The app is led by Inriawhich brings together public organizations, large groups and start-ups, but does not use the device of Apple and Google to which other countries have subscribed.
The TousAntiCovid application is downloadable since Thursday, October 22, 2020, on IOS and Android (Samsung type). Search “TousAntiCovid” on Play Store (or Google Play) if you have a phone android or in AppStore if you use a iPhone. You can also flash the QR code with your phone on this page.

Once the application has been downloaded to the smartphone, it must be activated. To do this, simply connect the device to bluetooth then click on the “Activate TousAntiCovid” on the app.
A QR Code must be scanned with its TousAntiCovid application at the entrance of each establishment setting up the Tous Anti Covid Signal system to be called back in the event of a positive Covid case that may have been present at the same time as you (restaurant and bar rooms, sports halls). It is not necessary to scan the QR Code at the exit. To scan a QR Code in the TousAntiCovid application, it’s very simple:
To scan a QR Code at the entrance of an establishment:
- At the entrance to the place (gym, restaurant, swimming pool, etc.), open the TousAntiCovid application
- Click on “Scan a QR Code”
- Place the phone in front of the QR Code and wait for it to recognize it.
► To add your certificates (certificate, booklet, vaccination, travel, etc.):
- Open the TousAntiCovid application
- Click on “Scan a QR Code”
- Place the phone in front of the QR Code of the paper vaccination (or test) certificate and wait for it to recognize it.
- The addition is then done automatically in “TousAntiCovid-Carnet”.
Like all applications, TousAntiCovid can be regularly updated to improve or integrate new features. To update it, you have to go to the Google PlayStore and search for “Tous Anti Covid” then click on “Update” or do the same search in the Apple Store if you have an Iphone. For update your vaccination certificatejust simply download a new version from teleservice.
What is the TousAntiCovid number?

The TousAntiCovid Vérif application is separate from TousAntiCovid. It is intended for professionals who manage establishments open to the public. However, it is downloadable by all and free of charge on Google Play Store if you have an android and on theApple Store if you have an iPhone. She allows to check and verify the validity of vaccination certificates or negative Covid-19 test results by scanning the customer’s QR Code. It is also able to analyze QR Codes in European format. Once the QR Code has been flashed using the TAC Verif application, the authorized person sees: surname, first name and date of birth – a “valid/invalid” indication. No connection to the Internet or to a server is necessary to proceed with the verification of a Health Pass.
