Tourists injured in ice cave collapse in Iceland | News in brief

Several tourists were injured after an ice cave collapsed on the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier in the southeast of Iceland on Sunday afternoon. This is reported by the Icelandic public broadcasting company RUV.

There were 25 tourists in the cave at the time of the collapse. Apparently, several managed to get out on their own.

Rescue authorities are still looking for two people. Earlier, two seriously injured people were rescued from the cave.

Rescue conditions on the glacier have been described as very difficult.
