Tourism speed dates between start ups and companies Europe promotes green

(Finance) – They have been “studied”, courted and chosen, just like in the most classic ones speed at your place. Get in on it Eu Eco-Tandem, the project co-financed by the European Union, which aims to promote sustainable development in the tourism sector. As many as 56, the “tandems” born during the matchingwhich ended in mid-October, involving SMEs and European start-ups, mainly from Italy, Germany and Slovakia.

In particular, the call was answered 78 SMEs engaged in the tourism sector and about 40 non-sector start-ups which, although not eligible for funding, will support partner companies in the ecological transition. There was an immediate feeling between the parties involved, who chose each other based mainly on the common intention of being able to solve one of the 5 sustainability challenges indicated by the Eu Eco Tandem team.

Going into the details, to deal with “mobility management”, There will be 22“ couples ”; 9, those that will respond to “green” challenges, in response to the pandemic due to Covid-19; 12, on the other hand, will collaborate on the topic of energy saving. And, again, 10 “tandems” will work on “waste management” and 3 on water management. All, of course, applied to the tourism sector.

From the stroke of the spark, the “tandems” created, immediately began to confront and consolidate the ties. At disposal, 45 days, to present effective action plans to be submitted to the advisory committee, called to evaluate the ideas and select the winning “tandems”, which will receive a voucher worth 13,000 euros, which will be used to activate the projects. EU-Eco-Tandem – co-financed by the European Union, through the COSME program – is coordinated by X23 Srl and implemented by a pool of European partners, including ENIT and Social Fare in Italy; Italian Chamber of Commerce in Germany and Leipzig School of Management in Germany; University of Graz in Austria; Green Evolution in Greece and the Slovak Business Agency.
