(Finance) – Open air: on top of the wishes there is the glamping. It is the first data that emerged at the Hospitality Reception Hallinaugurated today at Riva del Garda (Trento)where the presence of Faita-Federcamping – the most representative federation of open-air tourism companies – underlines the growing role of the outdoors in the tourism landscape.
“Glamping can represent a decisive element for the growth of the sector and a better definition of the tourist offer in the open air – says the national president of Faita-FederCamping Albert Granzotto, which also leads the Federation of the Northeast – Riva del Garda Hospitality is on its way to becoming one of the most complete and authoritative appointments on the national trade fair scene dedicated to outdoor tourism”. In Italy – over 2 thousand structures between campsites And resorts, for one million and 350 thousand beds – the glamping share, in fact, is now approaching 20%. And the tourism experiential, which aims to amaze. They tickle the imagination and awaken our ‘child’ side, the tree houses, the houseboats, the tents resting on the lake’s waters, the transparent bubbles with a view of the stars, are all solutions worthy of the ‘dream’.
However, the real glamping takes place in the structuressuch as those that arise in the mountains and in lakes of Italy, which offer not only accommodation comfort, but above all an environmental context that is particularly well-kept and attentive to the needs of the guest, involved in the exploration and knowledge of the territory. “Glamping also goes well with sustainability – he specifies Valeria Minghettisenior researcher of Ciset-Ca’ Foscari – A more conscious tourism is spreading, which combines the need to live a unique, exclusive experience linked to unspoilt nature with respect for the environment”.
Not only luxurytherefore, but also choice aware, a formula that is also developing in mountain or lake areas, where a third (about 700) of the structures present in Italy are located. In the campsites of these locations, the demand, in the last year, has grown by 25% compared to 2019.
Glamping is at the center of the first Faita-Federcamping meeting within the Fair: ‘The evolution of the concept of comfort: improving the perception of quality in the hospitality sector’, organized by Leopold Busa, by Biosafe, will be an opportunity to measure the growth of the glamping offer and the trend of indoor and outdoor environmental quality certification. For the speaker“Glamping is also the hygienic quality of the stay, with solutions specifically designed for the outdoor world”.
“All our campsites are evaluating how to increase job opportunities by offering guests better accommodations, starting with the Spas, up to the suggestive hypothesis of houseboats on the lake: a demanding investment, the latter, but of great appeal – says the president of Faita-Federcamping Lombardia Edward Favaron – In terms of ‘latest generation’ accommodation, there are still many, too many legislative constraints, especially at the local level, but the enthusiasm of tourists towards these solutions is very high”.
“People want to move, travel, be surrounded by nature. Our structures on the lake and in the mountains are having great results, especially with the Italian market”, he declares Fabio Poletti, president of Faita-Federcamping Trentino, where there are 69 structures (plus 39 in South Tyrol), about 30 of which remain open even in winter. “The realities that are giving the best results are those that have made investments in past years to expand and improve the offer with wellness and entertainment areas – continues Poletti – Leaving your facility with skis on your feet, going straight onto the slopes, enjoying the day in a refuge and then returning and immersing yourself in a hot tub is a plus that pays off”.
From his observatory in Cortina, Denis Ghezzemember of the Faita-Federcamping Nordest board of directors, talks about an excellent winter season and a summer on the same levels as in 2019. “Kissed by snow and sun, Curtain is welcoming the tourism of the white weeks and of the Carnival. Even if the catchment area from abroad is not very high in our facilities, it is certainly varied: guests come from every nation, from Germany to England, to Spain, as far as Europe is concerned. We also had a (albeit limited) presence of Chinese tourists”.
