(Finance) – Use of power clean and of materials natural, meals based on local products, no water waste. For the travellers attentive to the fate of the planet, it is not always easy to be able to find tourist structures capable of satisfying one’s convictions, even if the companies in the sector are adopting changes in response to an ever-increasing market demand. Whether it’s hotels, bed and breakfast or villages, the possibility of running into cases of greenwashing, unfortunately, is always around the corner.
And, then, how to be sure of choosing truly eco-sustainable locations? First of all, through word of mouth, asking for sincere opinions from relatives, colleagues or friends who have already been there or, why not, sifting through ad hoc groups on social media, which often hide real gems. Also link to Internet sites of the structures spotted, it could be interesting, given that, those particularly attentive to the environment, tend to highlight this peculiarity not by everyone. Last but not leastthe green reliability of hotels and accommodation facilities could be assessed through specific certifications, of different types, which act as a guarantee for customers, while at the same time encouraging insiders to give their best in that context.
And it is precisely on the good practices that all environmentally friendly structures, or aspiring ones, should adopt, that the “challenges” promoted by Eu Eco-Tandem Programmea project co-financed by the European Union through the programme COSMEwhich aims to promote eco-sustainable development in the tourism sector.
To challenge each other to the sound of innovative ideas and solutions on water conservation, waste management, energy saving, mobility management measures and post-pandemic initiatives, 56 “tandems” formed by Sme And startups of the sector from all over Europe. Up for grabs, for the winners, a voucher worth 13,000 euros, which will be assigned during the “Award Ceremony” scheduled in Italy at the beginning of 2023. All the details for participating in this unique event will soon be published on the initiative’s website.
Eu Eco-Tandem Programme, coordinated by X23 Srl, is implemented by a pool of European partners, including Enit and Social Fare in Italy; Italian Chamber of Commerce in Germany and Leipzig School of Management in Germany; University of Graz in Austria; Green Evolution in Greece and the Slovak Business Agency.
