The South African Callum Ormiston (Global 6 Cycling) won alone this Thursday, February 23 during the 5th stage of the Tour of Rwanda between Rusizi and Rubavu after 195 kilometers of racing. Callum Ormiston attacked ten kilometers from the finish. He was 6 seconds ahead of a group made up of fourteen riders and settled by the Italian Walter Calzoni (Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team) ahead of the Eritrean Metkel Eyob (Terengganu Polygon Cycling Team). During this stage, Briton Chris Froome (Israel-Premier Tech) spent sixty kilometers alone in the lead. Two punctures wiped out all his efforts.
