Second stage of the women’s Tour de France this Monday, July 24 between Clermont-Ferrand and Mauriac.
After a very timid first stage until the stunt of the Belgian Lotte Kopecky, first yellow jersey of this 2023 edition, the Tour de France women’s peloton will perhaps discover a little more during the 2nd stage between Clermont Ferrand and Mauriac. 148 kilometers long, the stage includes 6 climbs with an extremely difficult finish which should smile on the favorites of this Tour de France women. A race which will be to follow from 3 p.m. on the antennas of France 2.
During the first stage, unfortunately for the French supporters, the only one who lost time was Juliette Labous. Second in the Giro, the Frenchwoman was in tears at the finish, conceding more than 40 seconds. On her team’s website, coach Kelvin Dekker revealed when Juliette Labous lost contact: “On the climb (note: from the Côte de Durtol (3rd category), eleven kilometers from the finish), Juliette could not keep up with the favorites in the general classification and lost 43 seconds crossing the line. We know that Juliette improves throughout a Grand Tour, so we will continue to fight.”
Discover every evening at the end of each stage, the classification of the Tour de France women.
