In Amazon’s superhero hit The Boys, almost every bodily fluid imaginable is splashed. The ultra-brutal animated series Invincible can even top the crude excesses of Homelander and Co. This is no coincidence, after all, the producer duo Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are behind both series.
Like The Boys, Invincible has much more to offer than just shocking transgressions. You can see for yourself on Amazon Prime Video. You can since Friday, April 5, 2024 Invincible Stream season 2 in its entirety *. The finale not only surprises with bloody hardness, but also a crazy and covert Marvel crossover.
Amazon’s superhero hit surprises with a Marvel cameo in season 2 that isn’t one
The Amazon series was created by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, who adapts his own comic book here. The story revolves around teenager Mark Grayson, who one day develops superpowers and emulates his legendary father Omni-Man. However, Invincible has some shocking twists in store that take the superhero story in unexpected and emotionally complex directions.
Without giving you all the shocking revelations, one of the many highlights of the Season 2 finale is the somewhat unusual adaptation of an acclaimed Marvel moment from the one written by Robert Kirkman Crossover comic Marvel Team-Upin which Invincible takes on superhero Spider-Man thanks to a multiverse twist.
However, due to a complex legal situation, a guest appearance by the friendly neighborhood spider cannot take place directly in the Amazon series. Instead, the makers have a clever (and bold) solution found.

Invincible and “Agent Spider”
Instead of running into Peter Parker, Mark Grayson clashes with a young hero named in the Season 2 finale Agent Spider together, who is currently against his Arch-enemy Prof. Ock fights. The original voice of the spider agent is Josh Keaton, who previously voiced Spider-Man in the animated series The Spectacular Spider-Man.
To avoid any confusion (and possible legal consequences), Agent Spider wears a black and yellow superhero costume. It can still be recognized as an homage to Peter Parker’s blue and red Spider-Man costume. What multiversal surprises does the Invincible Season 2 finale have in store? You can find out now on Prime Video.
When is Invincible Season 3 coming to Amazon Prime Video?
Invincible fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Back in May 2021, Amazon promised the superhero hit both a second and third season, both of which were produced in parallel. That means: This time we don’t have to wait three years for new episodes. With a bit of luck, season 3 could Late 2024 or early 2025 on Prime Video get started. However, a specific start date has not yet been officially announced.
