(Finance) – The French energy company TotalEnergies has reiterated that it is not involved in the supply of aviation fuel to the Russian military through a local joint venture. The newspaper Le Monde had written it, also provoking the response of the institutions, with the French transport minister who had asked for an investigation to clarify the facts. As a Novatek shareholder, TotalEnergies he asked the Novatek management for information on what happens to the condensed gases produced by the Termokarstovoye field in Russia, to provide greater clarity on the matter.
“The entire condensate produced at the Purovsky plant from raw material from NOVATEK subsidiaries and affiliates, including Terneftegas, is delivered to the Ust-Luga processing complex in the Leningrad region – explained the Russian company – The range of derived products from processing at the Ust-Luga Complex includes jet fuel (Jet A-1) which it is exported exclusively outside Russia, and is not even certified to be sold within the country“.
“Therefore, it is clear that media publications and invitations to investigate TotalEnergies’ activities in our joint ventures they have absolutely no basis in fact“, says the French company.
