Brazilian legend Marta’s career ended on Wednesday, when Brazil missed the starting group in the World Cup. Panama bowed to France, but Marta Cox rattled off one of the finest hits of the World Cup.
On Wednesday, the World Cup saw a big surprise when Brazil was eliminated from the playoffs at the expense of Jamaica. Jamaica defended a goalless draw and thus secured their place in the playoffs.
The World Cup play-off spot is Jamaica’s first in the country’s history, considering both the women’s and men’s tournaments.
The last time Brazil missed the group stage was in the World Cup in Sweden in 1995. That time, the eight best teams made it to the playoffs.
Marta ended her World Championship career
Thus, a historically significant World Cup career ended in Australia. Already 20 years ago, he made his debut in Brazil’s shirt Marta, 37, said earlier that this World Cup will be his last.

France won the group with seven points. Jamaica was second, leaving Brazil a point behind in third.
The tournament in Brazil was difficult as a whole. It defeated Panama 4–0 in its opening game, but succumbed to France with a last-minute goal 1–2.
