Toronto man charged in investment fraud

Brant OPP say a 30-year-old Toronto man has been arrested in an investment fraud investigation.

Police said Friday that Cary Antony Martin is charged with fraud over $5,000 and possession of the proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Police said they were contacted by a Brant County resident who provided a suspect $50,000 to invest and later learned the money was not invested.

Police believe there may be other victims.
