Topias Nygard surprised Finland with his record in WC swimming

Topia Nygård, a swimmer from Oulu, was at a furious pace in Espoonlahti.

The Finnish Swimming Federation announces that in the short course SC competitions in Espoonlahti Topias Nygård served Friday’s wildest surprise. He swam a new Finnish record in the men’s 50-meter backstroke.

In the men’s 100-meter breaststroke, Pori Swimming Club took the gold Matti Mattsson in time 59.79 before TaTu Tampere Jami from Ihalai and Helsingfors Simsällskap Davin Lindholm.

TaTu Tampere won the women’s 50-meter breaststroke Ida Hulkko at 30,10 and before Cetus Fanny Teijonsaloa and Joensuu Swimming Club Jenna from Laukka.

The evening ended with the women’s 4×200 meter freestyle relay, which was won by Helsingfors Simsällskap ahead of Cetus Espoo and Raision Athletes.

Anchored from the sim Wilma Sundt brought his team to the finish line in 8.12.15. In addition to Sundt, the winning team also swims Miina-Anniina Härkänen, Snow Oura and Sarah Moreau.
