Transferred from HJK to Scotland Top Middle emerged as a hero immediately in his debut match in Aberdeen’s shirt. Keskinen scored the only goal of the match in Aberdeen’s 1–0 win over Queen’s Park in the second round of the Scottish League Cup.
Keskinen was replaced on the field in the 57th minute, and he decided the match in the second minute of extra time.
Keskinen received a pass in the penalty area, spun spectacularly with the ball and cannoned it into the Queen’s Park goal net.
– I’m really happy that he scored the winning goal that takes us to the next play-off stage, Aberdeen’s Swedish coach Jimmy Thelin said in the club’s press release.
Keskinen moved to Scotland last week. Skottiseura paid a transfer fee of around one million euros to Keskisten HJK.
