After the new day of Top 14, three clubs take off at the top of the ranking.
Bordeaux-Bègles is still a solid leader of the French rugby championship after the new day of Top 14. On the lawn of a Stade Français still lower in the ranking (13th), the Bordelais produced a real recital to retain first place thanks in particular to a beautiful double from Louis Bielle Biarrey. With its young players due to a planned trip to South Africa in the Champions Cup, Stade Toulousain did not come far from an achievement by losing by three points on the lawn of La Rochelle 22-19.
With this defeat, Toulouse lets Bordeaux take a 3-point lead and sees Toulon return to 4 points. The RCT, at home, offered a real recital to its Mayol supporters with 6 tries and an offensive bonus against Racing 92. The Toulonnais took advantage of Bayonne’s heavy defeat against Montpellier to get some fresh air on the rest of the ranking.
