Born in Bilthoven, Thierry Brinkman, former hockey player for SCHC and Kampong, followed in the footsteps of his father Jacques in Paris, who won gold in 1996 and 2000. Jacob van den Kerkhof, a member of Utrecht’s Triton for many years, won silver with the Holland Eight and water polo goalkeeper Sarah Buis from De Bilt, former player of UZSC, sat at the table with a bronze medal.
