Fact: They went on in Melodifestivalen
Tone Sekelius: “Rhythm of my show”
Jon Henrik Fjällgren, Arc North feat. Adam Woods: “Where You Are (Sávejan)”
In the semi-finals:
Victor Crone: “Diamonds”
Elov & Beny: “The rag goes”
Last year, Tone Sekelius took the detour via the semi-finals, but in this year’s first part of Melodifestivalen in Gothenburg, she went directly to the final.
The contribution “Rhythm of my show” was compared to last year’s “My way” considerably more cocky, and before the final she has plans to scale the number even further. Among other things, there will be more bling and “more maxed out”.
— I will continue to hone everything possible in the number, there is always room for improvement. I will do my absolute best until the number becomes completely magical, she says.
In addition, she intends to land and live a little in the moment.
— I’m quite good at just moving on and focusing on the next thing. But this week and next I’m just going to enjoy the feeling.
Jon Henrik Fjällgren also celebrated together with colleagues Arc North and Adam Woods. Rebooking tickets
The second final place was clinched by the trio Jon Henrik Fjällgren, Arc North and Adam Woods with their powerful edm-inspired number “Where you are (Sávezan)”, complete with Fjällgren’s joik in the chorus.
— It’s hard to say how we’re going to reload because now we actually have to download first. But it will be fine. I will just take it easy, says Jon Henrik Fjällgren.
Adam Woods and Arc North are extending their stay in Gothenburg to be able to celebrate the win properly.
“We rebook the tickets and take the afternoon train instead,” says Arc North, whose real name is Oscar Christiansson.
Victor Crone advanced to the semi-finals from the first round. “It’s going to explode”
The last time Victor Crone participated in Melodifestivalen, he went directly to the final, but on Saturday he had to settle for third place for the song “Diamonds”.
— You never get used to that competition thing, the nervousness about going out. So I’m incredibly happy to be able to move on, it’s great, he says.
A bonus of not going directly to the Friends arena in Stockholm is that the semi-finalists’ songs will be released on streaming services and played on the radio – something that Victor Crone believes will benefit him.
It also gives a chance to polish the vocals more.
— I’m right above earphones, which I hear the music in, I usually always drive with monitors otherwise and it’s a completely different feeling so I’m a little unsure. I get to take them home and scratch them at home on the sofa, he says.
TT: Is there anything in the performance you want to change for the semi-finals?
— More pyro! It will explode in the whole arena!
