Last Friday, Tomas Johansson was out on one of his many long forest walks outside Arboga. So far everything was exactly as usual. But when he reached a forest road near Finnhäll, a stone’s throw from Hjälmare dock, he suddenly had unexpected company.
– A playful grouse appeared right in front of me. Then he attacked, says Tomas Johansson.
Many had perhaps put their legs on their backs and tried to run away from the chasing deer. Not Thomas. His instinctive reaction was to pull the phone out of his jacket pocket – and start filming.
– I just have to get this on film, I thought. I will not be involved in this again. Unfortunately…
Tomas managed to keep the deer away from him with the help of his walking sticks. But the grouse didn’t give up so easily.
– He followed me for 800 meters before he gave up.
