Tomas Roos had an unexpected visit at the cottage in Ottsjö, in Åre municipality. Just in time for lunch, a white reindeer trudged up onto the balcony.
– I was standing in the kitchen and heard something on the balcony, he says.
Tomas Roos has started his vacation by spending time in his cabin in the small village of Ottsjö in Åre municipality. The talk of the village was above all about a four-legged visitor that had been glimpsed as it hoofed around the village.
– It has happened here in the cottage area, and got a glimpse of it just before midsummer. Now that we are up again, it has moved around the cottages, he says.
But for Tomas Roos, there was more than a glimpse last week. The white reindeer had then stepped onto the balcony.
– You are absolutely surprised, but of course it is also fascinating when it is so close. It was right next to the window, he says.
So far, the small community has not established a detailed plan of action for how to deal with the debris.
– We don’t really do anything, we take some photographs when it suits. It’s been happening here for a while now, so it will probably stay until they collect all the reindeer, says Tomas Roos.
