Football legend Tomas Brolin celebrates his 55th birthday.
On Instagram, he shows an intimate and unexpected picture from the bed.
“What a flying start to my birthday,” he writes.
He has won the Golden Ball twice, took a legendary World Cup bronze with Sweden in 1994, won the Uefa Cup and the Italian Cup and played in both Serie A and the Premier League. Thomas Brolin55, has had a solid football career – now he’s living the good life.

Brolin is of course best known for the World Cup 94 triumph, when Sweden came third and brought home the bronze from the USA. The midfielder from Hudiksvall was one of Blågult’s best players in the championship and he was actually selected in the FIFA world team after the success. Even though it was 30 years since he himself won a medal for Sweden, Brolin naturally follows the national team even today. He thinks that today’s players are significantly worse than those he played with.
– It’s the knowledge, they’re not good enough, it’s so bad. This generation we had 94, they don’t grow on trees. Many people want to experience 94 again, but if you don’t have the material, you can’t conjure, he said in an old SVT interview.

– They must have this feeling that you help each other on the pitch, that you lift each other up. I have missed that in this Zlatan generation, they haven’t stepped up in important matches. They have had some good matches, but it is not enough to go far.
Tomas Brolin’s unexpected picture
Now that Brolin is celebrating his 55th birthday, many people want to send a greeting to the Swedish football icon. He himself has chosen to publish an unexpected and somewhat intimate picture on Instagram, to show what he does on his special day.
“What a great start to my birthday. Grazie,” he writes.
Several have commented on Brolin’s picture, where he is seen lying bare-chested with a cowboy hat and a bouquet of red roses in bed.
“Congratulations on the 27th birthday,” jokes the sports journalist and author Patrick Ekwall.
“Happy birthday,” writes Mello’s current photo model Victoria Silvstedt.
“Hip hip hurrah Tomas”, comments a third.
“Congratulations on your day Tomas!”, says someone.

Many congratulations on your birthday, Tomas. You are a true star and there are many of us who will always remember the wonderful summer you had in the USA in 1994.
