Sony’s smaller Marvel Universe almost always lags behind Kevin Feige’s larger MCU, huh success and quality regards. A big exception is Venom with Tom Hardy. 2018’s quirky superhero blockbuster brought the studio nearly $900 million in box office earnings.
ProSieben is broadcasting Venom today at 8:15 p.m. In addition to the second part that has already been released, Sony also has one third installment in the Marvel series commissioned.

With Venom, Sony has created an intriguing Marvel niche
Even if the first Venom part is knitted according to the usual plot patterns of origin stories that have been seen umpteen times, the masses are enthusiastic about the film. The second part could not quite build on the success of its predecessor. The worldwide gross of over 500 million dollars with a budget of around 110 million dollars made the Marvel film a small hit again secured the future of the franchise. In April 2022, Sony officially gave Venom 3 the green light. It is not yet known when the sequel with Tom Hardy will hit the cinemas.
