The canton of Natigou is in shock, the inhabitants say they are abandoned. An investigation is open to elucidate the circumstances of this explosion which claimed the lives of seven young people aged 10 to 18 in Margba in the prefecture of Tône in the far north of Togo. If witnesses say they heard two explosions, the authorities in their press release on Sunday, speak of an explosion. Questions still remain. In the meantime, the families proceeded to the burials of the seven children on Monday in Dapaong and Margba.

The burials took place in the presence of the families, the local authorities of the prefecture and the commune, as well as some army officers. But the questions remain. ” Several questions, since we don’t know where it comes from. So far, nothing has been clarified. What was the cause of this event? asks this resident of Margba.

Among the Douti, two children lost their lives in this tragedy. It’s pain and incomprehension for their aunt. ” We went to see the dead children. It’s pity. The whole family suffers. Losing children is not easy. We are afraid, what will happen again? »

The army chief of general staff has ordered an investigation to elucidate the circumstances of this tragedy and find the perpetrators. But in the meantime, concern settles in the village.

While relatives were burying these children, Brigitte Kafui Adjamagbo, the coordinator of the dynamic Mgr Kpodzro, declared in a press conference: “ the circumstances of this case are unclear, we want and we will demand the truth “.
