Togolese civil society organizations expressed their outrage at the arrest of Beninese activist Steve Amoussou in Lomé in early August and his extradition to Benin, in a press release issued on Saturday, August 24. The cyber-activist, nicknamed “Brother Hounvi,” who criticized the Beninese authorities every Friday via audio broadcasts on social networks, will be tried on October 7 in Cotonou.
