In addition to the ongoing station installation for Trugo, the fast charging network, the battery production facility, which will be one of the most vital resources of the process, has also gained momentum. Serial production of battery modules and packs at Siro Battery Technology Center located in Togg Technology Campus also gained momentum. Siro Silk Road Clean Energy Storage Technologies Inc., which left behind an important milestone with the mass production that it started in January at its facility in Togg Technology Center, will be held at 20 Gigawatt/d. It will begin the construction of the Battery Development and Production Campus, which will have an hourly capacity. With the launch of the Battery Development and Production Campus, Siro will become an integrated energy storage manufacturer, including battery cells, by 2026.

Siro will be powered by Togg and Farasis partnership
Established as a 50-50 joint venture between Togg and Farasis Energy to develop energy storage solutions for automotive and non-automotive applications in Turkey and the surrounding countries, Siro, at the Battery Development Center in Gebze, tests the battery prototypes that it started to produce in August 2022, and carries out the battery-specific tests. completed its homologation, and then started mass production of battery modules and packages in March with Togg’s mass production on the line that it commissioned in January. Siro, which produces Li-Ion NMC battery modules and packs with high nickel content based on Farasis Energy’s latest technology for Togg smart devices, will deliver the battery packs of 28 thousand smart devices to be produced by Togg in 2023, in line with Togg production plans.

Construction begins on April 24
The construction start ceremony will be held on April 24 for the Siro Battery Development and Production Campus, where cells, modules and packages will be produced. Siro will begin production of the latest generation, high energy density battery cells, which it has already started to develop, as of 2026 and will become an important integrated energy storage player in the region, including the innovative battery cell. With the start of production, Türkiye will have the competence to develop and produce cells. Siro, whose production capacity will reach 20 GWh per year by 2031, will own the intellectual property of all the products and solutions it develops. In addition to Turkey, it will be directly responsible for 120 countries in the region and will serve in a wide area with fixed energy storage applications for automotive as well as micromobility, industrial applications, marine vehicles and renewable energy.
