The third film in the Guardians series ends the adventure of the MCU spacemen on a surprisingly emotional note. After an attack Rocket (voice: Bradley Cooper) threatens to die, and the rest of the crew around Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) does everything to save him. Her journey takes her into Rocket’s dark past.
While many MCU films have recently been criticized for their lack of ideas and brought in comparatively meager results at the box office, Guardians 3 still exudes a plethora of creative sparks. The film is brightly colored, gripping, playful and at times deeply sad.
Many fans and critics were accordingly enthusiastic and praised the blockbuster as “the best Marvel movie in many years“(via The Independent). Just three months after the German theatrical release on May 3, 2023, it is now also available for Disney+ subscribers.
