Today, March 21, 2023, the second phase of update 3.5 starts in Genshin Impact. You now have the chance on 2 cryo characters, including the very popular DPS Kamisato Ayaka.
Kamisato Ayaka is a 5-star character that has been a recurring draw in Genshin Impact since 2020. Ayaka returns to the game today with the current banner, Crane Farm.
After the new character Dehya in the current banner caused frustration among the players, Ayaka, a coveted character, has now made its comeback.
There is also “return from seclusion“ with Shenhe as a 5 star character. You have a chance to get the 4-star character Mika in all banners of the current update.
That’s why Kamisato Ayaka is worth it
She wields a one-handed weapon and is of the element Kryo. If you want to do a lot of damage in the winding abyss, you are on the safe side with Ayaka as the main DPS.
In different tier lists, the 5-star character is often at the top – already as a C0. This means that she is already strong without expanding her constellation and you don’t have to draw her multiple times (via Game8, Gamewith, Genshinlab)

These are Ayaka’s abilities: Using her elemental ability Kamisato Style – Hyouka, Ayaka knocks her enemies away and deals cryo area damage.
Ayaka’s special ability, Kamisato Style – Soumetsu, has a larger area of effect and continuously slashes enemies. While doing so, she deals cryo damage and finishes her attack with a cryo AoE.
In addition, Ayaka has a special sprint – the “Kamisato style – Senho”. It grants her the Kyro attribute on her one-handed sword and also applies Kryo to nearby enemies.
Hitting monsters with your sprint triggers the passive talent Edge Senmyou Blessing. The talent restores stamina to Ayaka and increases cryo damage by 18%.
With her skills and high damage output, she is considered by many to be one of the best characters in the game.
Shenhe is also worth it – as support
In Ayaka’s team, the support character Shenhe could come in handy. In particular, she can enhance other Kryo characters with her abilities.
Once all of her talents are unlocked, she will even increase the damage of all nearby teammates’ special and elemental abilities once Shenhe casts her elemental ability.
Her Signature Ability, meanwhile, also deals cryo damage while Shenhe is off the field while also buffing teammates inside him. However, if you want the buff, you must not leave the field.
When exactly does the banner start? In Europe you can expect the banner on March 21st from 18:00 CEST. You then have a chance to get Kamisato Ayaka and Shenhe until April 11th.
