Amazon has already spoiled us quite a bit this year with exciting (ex) agent thrillers and military action. Following Reacher and The Terminal List, veteran Amazon action veteran John Krasinski returns for Season 3 as Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. And he brings a Christmas present with himself.
Instead of broadcasting the episodes weekly, as Amazon has been doing for a long time, according to TV Guide all 8 episodes of Jack Ryan Season 3 at once.
First Amazon Jack Ryan immediately renewed, then we had to wait 3 years
When a show goes unheard for a year or even two, memories of it fade in the face of massive competition. After Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan was renewed fairly quickly after season 1 in the summer of 2018, came Season 2 a year later to Amazon.
The streaming service promptly extended its action hit for a third season, but then there was a long silence. the corona pandemic caused massive delays in filming and John Krasinskis busy schedule as the director of A Quiet Place 2 didn’t make things any easier.

In Season 3, Jack Ryan himself becomes the CIA’s prey
In Season 3, Jack Ryan changes continents after North America and South America and comes to Europe. At the beginning of the new episodes he works as a CIA agent in Rome. There he came across the so-called Sokol project and became the hunted of his government himself.
All the expected Jack Ryan ingredients are included: Power-hungry politicians, far-reaching conspiracies and a man who single-handedly saves democracy.
Jack Ryan’s companions James Greer (Wendell Pierce) and Mike November (Michael Kelly) return in Season 3. An exciting newcomer is the German acting star Nina Hoss as Alena Kovac.
