Excited for over 20 years NCIS the crime thriller world and, in addition to the popular main series, has already had several no less successful spin-offs, including Navy CIS: LA, Navy CIS: Hawaii and NCIS: Sydney. Together, the NCIS universe is now reaching another milestone. It’s running today 1000th episode of the series cosmos, which is celebrated as a special episode of the main series on its home channel CBS.
1000th NCIS episode with surprises and guest appearances
The special episode comes as the 7th episode of the 21st season of NCIS and is titled A Thousand Yards. The NCIS team is confronted with a familiar enemy who is once again causing trouble. Director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) is supposed to take up a large part of the story by making contact with his estranged son and teaching him to love his job.

While NCIS icon Mark Harmon is unlikely to appear in his role as Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the special episode, it does feature other guest appearances. Among other things, it will feature Daniela Ruah from the 14th season of NCIS: Los Angeles in her role as Special Agent Kensi Blye-Deeksfrom.
Vanessa Lachey, who currently leads the NCIS Hawaii team as Special Agent Jane Tennant, is said to have a cameo in the episode. Likewise, Joe Spano will return in his role as Tobias Fornell for the 1000th episode.
When will the 1000th episode of NCIS air?
The 1000th episode airs today in the USA April 15, 2024 aired on CBS. It is not yet known when the anniversary episode will be shown in this country. The broadcast of the 20th season of Navy CIS only ended in December 2023 on Sat.1.
Since the new episodes usually appear on German television around three to four months after the US premiere, the 21st season of NCIS is likely to air in the summer of this year.
