Want to level up battle pets quickly in World of Warcraft? Then pay attention – this trick only works 2-3 times a year!
Pet battles are quite controversial in World of Warcraft. You either love it as a fulfilling side hobby in Azeroth or you loathe it. But in order to get some rewards, pet battles are mandatory – even some mounts are hidden behind pet battles. Therefore, it is worthwhile for collectors of all kinds to complete pet battles and have some pets at the maximum level of 25.
But did you know that leveling a pet to level 25 only takes 5-10 minutes? This can be done with a little trick that is only available a few days a year. In this guide, we’ll tell you how to level up pets in a flash.
This is “Super Squirt Day” – Battle Pets level up in 10 minutes
What is Super Squirt Day? In World of Warcraft there is a bonus event for certain activities every week. This also includes the “Pet Battle Bonus Week”. There, all pet experience points received are increased by 100% – i.e. doubled.
If this event coincides with the presence of the pet trainer “Squirt” (in German “Spatz”), then it only takes 2 pet battles to raise a pet from level 1 to level 25. Pet Battle players then call this possibility “Super Squirt Day”.
When is Super Squirt Day? The two events only overlap a few times each year. The next time the event will take place is on December 23, 2023 – today!
This is how you prepare for power leveling
In order for you to benefit maximally from “Super Squirt Day”, you must make a number of preparations and meet the requirements. It’s best to deal with them straight away so that you are prepared for future events of this kind.
These are the necessary requirements:
1. Prepare your garrison
In order to benefit from the Pet Battle bonus, you need to prepare your garrison a bit. Completes the following tasks:
This shouldn’t be a challenge for most players and you’ve probably already completed it while leveling. If not, then start expanding the garrison now so that everything is ready for power leveling.
2. Create a “carry team”
In order to “power level” pets, you need a “carry team” of two pets that are already level 25. These two pets will then help you bring any other pet to level 25.
Since you’ll be fighting Sparrow (Squirt) again and again, there are some particularly good combinations of pets you can use for this fight. We recommend these two pets:
Both pets should be level 25 and of rare quality. You can often purchase both at the Auction House, or you can farm them yourself at the Argent Tournament (Enchanted Broom) and Icecrown Citadel (Knochi).
Tip: In Boralus and Dazar’alor and your garrison, you can use “Polished Pet Charm” to purchase items that will instantly bring your pets to level 25 or increase their quality to “rare”. This allows your “carry team” to be perfectly prepared. You probably received the Polished Pet Lucky Charms through “table missions” and from rare mobs during Battle for Azeroth anyway.

3. XP buffs for the pets
By default, during Pet Battle Week, you would need 3 battles to get a pet from level 1 to 25 when fighting Sparrow. However, if you use at least one additional bonus, then this number drops to 2 battles. You have 3 options to further increase your pet XP. These are:
Note that you only need one of these three bonuses to reduce the number of fights from 3 to 2. It’s not worth adding multiple bonuses, there’s no advantage in this method!
4. Collect lots of pets
In order to make the most of “Super Squirt Day”, you should of course have lots of battle pets that you can then level up. So create as large a collection as possible, because in one day – assuming you have enough free time – you can level 50-100 pets using this method. It would be a shame if you let this opportunity slip by because you don’t have enough battle pets.

This is how power leveling works on “Super Squirt Day”
Now when Super Squirt Day arrives, find your garrison and go to the pet menagerie to fight Sparrow. You just have to use the following strategy. Make sure your “Enchanted Broom” is in position 1 of your Pet Battle group. What position Knochi and your level pet are in is not important.
Begin the fight:
This strategy works in almost 95% of cases. If you fail (e.g. due to an unfavorable critical hit), heal your pets and try again.
After winning the fight, you should heal your pets (you can do this from the NPC right next to Sparrow). Then you repeat the fight or change your level pet if it is already at level 25.

By the way, leveling up pets is also suitable for all players who want to quickly earn some extra gold. There are several methods that can be used to earn a nice sum.
