For perhaps the first time, children get the chance to try different sports.
– The goal is that as many children as possible participate in 120 minutes of physical activity today, says Fredrik Sundberg, coordinator for physical activity at the school.
Eleven municipalities and more than 50 schools in Östergötland today gather more than 10,000 children. RF-SISU in collaboration with schools and sports associations throughout the county gives children the chance to try different sports.
– In Söderköping alone, we gather six different sports at Vikingavallen where six schools come to us, says Fredrik Sundberg.
In Ödeshög, all the municipality’s schools and sports associations gather for a Sports Day.
– There are also lots of schools that organize their own Sports Day without the participation of the sports associations. But with the same objective – 120 minutes of physical activity.
