TOBACCO PRICE. The price of certain references of cigarettes and roll-your-own tobacco has increased since the beginning of the year. Which brands are affected?

These tariff changes are the result of unilateral decisions by tobacco manufacturers, and are not the result of a government decision. Please note: this price increase also concerns certain references of roll-your-own tobacco. The last notable increase took place in November 2020, reaching ten euros for a pack of twenty cigarettes. Since coming to power, the President of the Republic has indeed decided to increase prices, to reach the symbolic threshold of ten euros per package of twenty units. Among our Spanish neighbors, tobacco prices are lower than in France. It is possible to consult the latest prices in force on the government website, here. As an indication, know for example that on August 24, the price of the package of Marlboro Gold (rigid to twenty units), is 10.50 euros in France is 5.60 euros in Spain. Be careful, however, the El Dorado should not last! The Spanish government recently announced its intention to curb smoking.
