Amela Smailbegovic, 37, living in the USA, introduces herself as a real estate magnate. “I think my main mantra has always been women’s empowerment and women’s success in business. Maybe that’s why I’m 37 years old, unmarried and not sedentary because I’ve focused all my time on establishing myself.” she said.
HE DIDN’T KNOW THAT His BIOLOGICAL CLOCK WAS ADVANCED
However, Smailbegovic soon realized that many of his friends were married and had children, and he also had a desire to become a mother. He recalled thinking during the pandemic: “Oh my god, it’s like I’m in my late 30s.” I was so focused on being successful and independent that I never noticed the biological clock ticking.” Like many other women, Smailbegovic froze her eggs during the pandemic and now has an ambitious goal of getting pregnant by age 39 with or without a partner in her life.
NOT AGAINST BEING A SINGLE MOTHER
The businesswoman says that although she would prefer her child to have a “great father”, she was never constrained by tradition and was not against being a single mother. “I’ve never been one of those girls who couldn’t wait to get married, settle down and have kids.” she said. “I move away from the societal norms they put on us and prefer to have a loyal, healthy partnership.
“I’VE NEVER BEEN DEPENDED ON A MAN”
“I was looking forward to achieving my career. I was looking forward to having my own company – that was my driving force,” he said. “It’s just my personality trait, I want to do a lot of things but it took time and somehow you get on autopilot.” Beautiful confidently concluded: “I have never been and never will be dependent on a man for anything.”
WHAT IS THE EGG FREEZE PROCESS?
The egg freezing process, which started in the 1980s, has become quite common today. Egg freezing process refers to the process of storing eggs or female reproductive cells collected from the female ovaries with the help of ultrasonography in a laboratory environment at -196 degrees by subjecting them to slow or fast freezing after interaction with preservatives called “cryoprotectants”.
WHO IS RECOMMENDED FOR EGG FREEZE?
In addition to patients who are at risk of losing their eggs due to any disease, the people we recommend most are all women who postpone their pregnancy plan and whose egg reserve begins to decrease. Because now our laws also support this treatment. In other words, all women with age factors, whose egg reserve begins to decrease, can freeze their eggs. And when they think of pregnancy, even if their ovaries are no longer working, they do not miss the chance of pregnancy because they have frozen eggs. There is no marriage requirement for women to freeze their eggs.
