Mew-ex can become useless with just one Pokémon
How can I counter it? The collector reports that he duel against a trainer with a Mew-ex deck. A screenshot shows that the opponent has Mew-ex in the active position. There are two Shardrago and a Dratini on the bench.
He only has one Pokémon in the active position: Lumineon. It can deal 50 damage to an opponent’s Benched Pokémon with its attack.
This puts the trainer in the fortunate position of defeating Shardrago and Dratini on the bench. Mew-ex, on the other hand, can only copy the attack and attack the Pokémon on the other bench – where there are no Pokémon at all.
As long as Mew-ex doesn’t retreat, the trainer can destroy the opponent’s bench without fear of consequences. In this way, the otherwise strong Pokémon suddenly becomes useless.
Is there a disadvantage? As soon as Mew-ex retreats and Shardrago is in the active position, things get tricky. The Pokémon attacks with 90 damage, which would mean instant death for Lumineon’s 80 HP. Since no other Pokémon can move up from the bench, the match would end immediately.
