The problems started in connection with the Tour de Ski and since then it has been small blemishes, illnesses and other things that have hampered Ribom’s skiing. Now she is considering giving up the mini-tour altogether.
– I’m a little scared to ride it again. It felt like I was digging my own grave. It’s tough to recover every day and if you don’t solve it and have to continue competing, it will be a big withdrawal. It felt like I didn’t really get it right this year, she says to the evening newspaper.

During the last sprint race in Drammen, she wanted revenge after the tough time and everything looked very good when she won her quarter-final heat. But then came the coup de grace that made her burst into tears.

Ribom received a yellow card for obstruction and it was her second of the season. Therefore, it led to automatic washing and the Swede had finished competing for the day.
– I’m most frustrated because I haven’t competed in a long time and was so excited to compete, she says in the interview a few days after the big disappointment and looks forward to the last competition weekend of the season in Falun.
– I am probably more motivated than ever. I just want to start all over again, it feels like. It feels like I had a good start but then it feels like it’s been a long time since I recognized myself.
