“To be honest”

Sweden is further in the handball World Cup after the victory against Germany.
France now awaits in the semi-finals.
– I think they are a little afraid of us, says Linn Blohm to SVT.

It continues to go well for Sweden in the handball WC. The team went undefeated through the first round, and the success continued in the main round. Sweden is now ready for the semi-finals after Wednesday’s win against Germany.

Robert’s concern

There was not much to talk about in the quarter-final between Sweden and Germany. Sweden did not concede a single goal in the first 14(!) minutes. At the half time signal the score was 16-6. The second half was a more convulsive event, but Sweden was still able to take home the win with 27-20.

Next, Sweden faces France in the semi-finals. France is the reigning Olympic champion and took World Cup silver most recently. In addition, Sweden has not won against France since 2014.
– They are good. We have a problem with them. It is since old. But we believe in what we do and will continue with it. They have a stable defense like us, so it’s probably the ones who get the attack going the best who win, says Jamina Roberts to SVT.

Blohm’s play

The teammate Lynn Blohm is even more confident than Roberts.
– I think they are actually a bit afraid of us, if I’m honest. I actually think that we have played a great defensive game throughout the championship and that we will continue to do so against a Germany that plays the way they do, a lot of duels and very physical, says Blohm to the channel’s website.

The middle six continues:
– That’s how we can do this against France, because they are also a very physical team both in attack and defense so it will be very hard both ways, but if we play like this then we absolutely have a chance to get to a final , says Blohm.

The semi-final between Sweden and France will be played on Friday at 21.00 and will be broadcast on SVT.
