To attract subscribers, DAZN, the official broadcaster of Ligue 1, will allow you to share your subscription at €29.99 per month on two screens at no extra cost, and therefore divide your price by two. Right on time for the OM/PSG match!
While the 2024-2025 Ligue 1 season has already started well, many football fans find themselves frustrated. At issue: the DAZN platform, the “Netflix of sport”, has recovered the majority of the broadcasting rights for the event. However, the prices charged by the platform are far from cheap! It costs €14.99 per month (without commitment) to access a single match per day or €29.99 per month (without commitment) to benefit from all the matches (see our article) – and more , prices have been reduced!
So, inevitably, IPTV and other illegal solutions are attractive, and DAZN is struggling to recruit subscribers and achieve the objectives set at its launch! Currently, the platform has around 500,000 subscribers according to The Team. Also, it strives to attract sports fans with promotional offers and free trial periods. On the occasion of the OM-PSG match scheduled for October 27, DAZN announces the return of a function which had disappeared with the creation of the new Ligue 1 subscriptions: the possibility of watching matches on two devices simultaneously. Enough to offer the possibility of sharing the subscription!
DAZN sharing: promotional offers that are multiplying
Until now, a DAZN subscription allowed you to register an unlimited number of devices but only view one stream at a time. To enjoy the platform’s content and broadcasts on a second screen, you had to subscribe to the expensive “Unlimited Plus” option, billed at €20 per month. This therefore brought the total bill to €49.99 per month, with a 12-month commitment! This is therefore no longer the case. A change which leaves the possibility of sharing your account and the price of the subscription, €29.99 per month, with someone else – which would therefore amount to €15 per month for each.
At the same time, DAZN is also announcing another promotional offer of €19.99 per month for a stream on one screen at a time, with a one-year commitment. This subscription is valid from October 14 to 27. It remains to be seen whether this will truly attract new subscribers, especially since the twelve months of commitment make the offer less and less interesting, since the competition will end from mid-May to mid-August 2025…
