Tirreno Adriatico 2025 Vendrame wins the 3rd stage Gregoire

The Italian stages race set off on Monday, March 10. During the third stage, Andrea Vendrame won.

Jonas Vingegaard being present in Paris Nice, a new winner will be crowned during the Tirreno Adriatico 2025. Simon Yates of the Visma Lease A Bike, winner of the event in 2020, will be the leader of the Dutch team for this week.

Beautiful people will be engaged on Italian roads with Simon’s brother, Adam Yates and Juan Ayuso (UAE Team Emirates XRG) who will be part of the favorites for the final victory. Tom Pidcock (Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team), Mikel Landa (Sudal – Quick Step), Richard Carapaz (EF Education Easypost) and Pello Bilbao (Bahrain Victorious) will be the other candidates for victory. We will also follow the Mathieu Van der Poel (Alpecin Deceuninck) attraction which will aim for one or more stages victories. He will notably have to face the competition from Jonathan Milan (Lidl – Trek), the best sprinter on this start to the 2025 season with Tim Merlier.

For the third stage, between Follonica and Colfiorito, 239 kilometers long, marked by dantesque conditions with a lot of rain, as in Paris Nice. The end of the race allowed certain big names to make the powder speak like Mathieu Van der Poel who wants to have fun on this Tirreno and who managed to return to a Filippo Ganna who tried the lonely escape 3 kilometers from the finish. But it was ultimately Andrea Vendrame who won on a very difficult sprint in front of Pidcock and Romain Grégoire.
