To avoid making your private exchanges on WhatsApp public, one trick is to transform your vocals into text messages. So, no need to isolate yourself in the toilet to find out what your husband or nanny has to say to you in person.
So, how to do it? Just go to Google Play if you’re on Android and download the “Transcriber for WhatsApp” app. After obtaining it, all you have to do is click on the voice message you want to convert, then select the share function to send it to the transcription application. When you use it for the first time, you will need to allow access to the storage. “Transcriber for WhatsApp” will then upload the file to the network and reveal the content of the voice message to you in writing. Please note that if “Transcriber for WhatsApp” reports that the message cannot be read, you may need to modify the application’s language settings. To do this, change the language so that it matches the one in which your interlocutor recorded the message.
And on iPhone? For iPhone users, the feature is also available, but at the moment, paid. Indeed, “Dicter” is one of the effective transcription applications on iOS, but for which you are required to pay 14.99 euros for a year of use, or approximately 1.25 euros per month.
