Six women were defrauded of more than two million kroner by a 25-year-old man they met via the dating app Tinder. Now he is sentenced to two years in prison, reports SVT Nyheter Helsingborg.

– He has been a charmer, or as they used to say, a sun-and-spring keeper. He has charmed his victims and then defrauded them of money, says chamber prosecutor Per-Axel Rosén Beck to SVT.

After he started relationships with the women, it quickly became about his need for money. In some cases he has referred to the fact that he has a sick relative abroad, in another that he himself has been pressured for money.

The cheated women come from Skåne, Småland, Halland, Västra Götaland and Jönköping counties, while the convicted person is from Uppsala.
