Vincent Cassel’s wife is the new face of Make Up For Ever. The opportunity to meet her and learn more about the secrets of her legendary charm.
Make Up For Ever called on Tina Kunakey to embody its new foundation. Her angelic face and her perfect smile won over the professional make-up brand. Meet.
Why did you agree to be the face of Make Up For Ever?
Tina Kunakey: Because I like the product. I like the idea of having an almost invisible, moisturizing foundation and especially the fact that there are 40 shades. I immediately liked being able to represent an inclusive brand.
Do you sometimes go out without makeup?
Very often, as soon as I’m actually not working.
In the morning, when you wake up, how do you feel?
Too tired. I always tell myself that I haven’t slept enough (laughs).
What are your current essentials?
HD Skin foundation from Make Up For Ever because even if I don’t wear makeup a lot, I think it’s good to have a foundation that is super easy to apply. I apply it to my fingers like a cream and I get a luminous complexion with fewer imperfections. Otherwise, a lip balm from Sisley and an eyebrow brush.
What do you think of cosmetic surgery?
I have no opinion on that. Everyone should do what they feel. If you want to change something in your physique to feel better, that’s fine. You have to listen to your instincts. But, I think the key in the end is to accept yourself as you are.
Your 3 “beautiful skin” gestures?
I try not to drink too much alcohol and only wash my face with water. I moisturize my skin daily and I do masks regularly.
How do you take care of your hair?
I do masks once or twice a day. My hair is overworked and even though I have a lot of hair, it’s fine so I take great care of it. I like to use Sebastian’s Penetraitt Repair Mask and Kevin Murphy’s Immortelle Oil Serum.
What’s the best beauty tip you’ve ever been given?
Joëlle Ciocco once told me never to wash my face with soap.
What are you doing to keep the line?
I try to exercise 3 times a week. I do a bit of everything. When I’m in the sun, I try to go surfing. When I’m in Paris, I do Crossfit, strength training and exercise bike.
Who is your beauty icon?
My mother.
Has your vision of beauty evolved during your career?
I don’t really know what beauty means. It’s a notion that is specific to everyone so no, I don’t think my vision of beauty has really evolved.
