The “Dune” and “Wonka” actor plays the American singing legend in the biopic “A Complete Unknown,” directed by James Mangold. The trailer is out.
As has already been proven by the biopic very singular I’m not there In 2007, Bob Dylan is a real movie character. No wonder the 83-year-old American singer is getting a new biopic at the end of 2024. Entitled A complete unknown (in reference to the song “Like a Rolling Stone”, but also to the plot of the film), this film directed by James Mangold traces the beginnings of this artist, initially unknown, who would later become a world-famous music star and an American poet who would even win a Nobel prize of literature in 2016.
Filmmaker James Mangold is no stranger to the musical biopic genre, having already directed the highly successful Walk the linewhich retraced the journey of Johnny Cash with Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon. To embody a young version of Bob Dylan, the director chose to entrust the role to Timothée Chalameta 28-year-old star who exploded into Dune, Wonka or Call me by your name. He gives the reply to Elle Fanning (The Great, The Neon Demon) And Edward Norton (Fight Club, American History).
The first trailer of A complete unknownposted online this Wednesday, July 24, reveals not only a superb photograph, but also the first notes of Timothée Chalamet in the role. This will allow us to wait before discovering the feature film, which is scheduled to be released exclusively in theaters a priori in December. In the meantime, here are the first images below.
